Hello and Welcome!
I’m Chand Gidwani, an amateur photographer who believes that art can inspire change.
Since my first trip to Africa over a decade ago, I’ve been captivated by the serenity and spirit of wildlife in their natural habitat. My journey has taken me across the world — from Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Brazil, Cuba, Costa Rica, Kenya, and Zimbabwe to India, my paternal homeland. Along the way, I’ve sought to capture the beauty, emotion, and quiet strength of these extraordinary places through my lens
My Mission
To leverage my love of nature and photography to raise awareness of the shared struggles — and hope — of elephants and people.
For the past five years, I’ve organized an annual fundraiser supporting Sunrise Middle School in San Jose, California. In the past three years, my efforts have also extended to Elephant Havens, a sanctuary and community initiative in Botswana that’s especially close to my heart.
I invite you to consider supporting one or both of these incredible organizations by clicking the Donate link.
All donations go directly to the beneficiaries, ensuring every dollar reaches the causes that need it most. My role is simply to connect passion with purpose — using photography as a bridge between beauty and compassion. As a token of gratitude, donors will receive a 2026 desktop calendar featuring a curated selection of my wildlife photographs.
Thank you — Gracias, Danke! — for your kindness, generosity, and belief that even small acts of giving can create ripples of change. Your support touches more lives than words can express.
I take photographs not just to remember what I’ve seen, but to share what I’ve felt.
Thank you.
Chand
